Whether you want dinner among the vines, a takeaway pizza, lunch with your feet in the sand or genuine Corsican cooking on the Porto-Vecchio harbour — everything is within twenty-five minutes of the villas. Here is our personal selection, tried and tested season after season.
5 minutes away — A Spartera, the exceptional table
The restaurant at Domaine de Peretti della Rocca is probably the finest table within five minutes of our villas. Set among the vines of Figari, A Spartera (“sharing” in Corsican) serves seasonal Corsican cooking by chef Emmanuelle Canonici, using produce grown on the estate or by neighbouring farmers.
Vegetables from the kitchen garden, Murtoli cheeses, artisanal charcuterie, veal from the farm next door. Everything local, everything fresh. The experience not to miss is dinner among the vines, available Wednesday to Sunday. Your own table among the vines, drinks in the lounge overlooking the vineyard, a single set menu to share.
“Book ahead — the dining room seats only about thirty. For dinner among the vines, call the estate directly.”
Domaine de Peretti della Rocca from the air — the manor house and vines five minutes from our villas.
5 minutes away — Le Relais, authentic Corsican cooking
In Sotta, five minutes from the villas, Le Relais is run by a family of cattle farmers, three generations in. They serve their own beef, with generous Corsican family cooking : brocciu lasagne, cannelloni with fresh cheese, meat from their own farm. A plain dining room, a warm atmosphere, service in Corsican and French.
This is where you go as a family, as a couple, with friends. No fuss, no staging. Just good Corsican food, properly served. Around sixty covers; booking essential from Friday onwards.
5 minutes away — L'Atelier Pizza (takeaway)
For evenings when you come back late from the beach and just want to eat on the villa terrace: L'Atelier Pizza in Sotta. Handmade pizzas, thin base, Corsican ingredients. You call, you collect, you go home to the hamlet. The luxury of simplicity.

25 minutes away — Playa Baggia, the Palombaggia beach restaurant
On Palombaggia beach, Playa Baggia is the institution. Open since 2007, it serves up to 500 covers a day in high season. Mediterranean cooking, fresh fish, sharing boards, cocktails. 4.6/5 on Google across several thousand reviews — deservedly so.
Playa Baggia — beach-restaurant atmosphere on the sand at Palombaggia.
Relaxed at lunchtime, livelier in the evening with concerts on Fridays. Booking essential in July and August. Allow €40–60 a head à la carte.
25 minutes away — Le Petit Chose, fine dining at Palombaggia
At the far end of Palombaggia beach, Le Petit Chose offers more refined cooking, in a more intimate setting. Open from 8 a.m. for breakfast, sunbed service on the sand, a serious wine list. Excellent value given the setting, though prices climb (€60–90 a head).
Our tip: lunch on a weekday, outside July and August. You have the place almost to yourself, the service is at its best, and the beach is yours for the afternoon.
20 minutes away — A Casa Corsa, on the Porto-Vecchio harbour
Porto-Vecchio harbour has plenty of restaurants — and plenty of tourist traps. A Casa Corsa is the exception. Wholly Corsican cooking, local produce, an impressive cellar. 4.7/5 across more than 3,600 Google reviews, among the top 15 restaurants in Porto-Vecchio.
The house brocciu is unmissable. The charcuterie comes from the island's best producers. The wine list does justice to the Corsican estates (Peretti, Tanella, Domaine Torraccia, Yves Leccia).
Booking required from late June. Allow €45–70 a head.
30 minutes away — Domaine de Piscia, the farm inn
Our off-season favourite: the farm inn at Domaine de Piscia, in the mountains behind Porto-Vecchio. Spit-roast pork, lamb over a wood fire, charcuterie from the estate. Genuinely rustic, in a wonderful setting — vines, olive trees, cork oaks.
Open mainly on weekdays and by reservation only. No turning up on spec: call several days ahead.
